Been riding by this sculpture often, but just noticed it while riding to Marin with Yann today. I'm gonna take a closer look next time. More info on Presido.Gov
This race looks awesome... considering clearing all Sunday plans:
Update: Rode the SF Flow ride with my buddy Randy. It was super fun... but 100% draining. Got to see more of SF than I ever have before. Looking forward to going back to some places.
BYOBW has become an Easter Sunday tradition. The 'rents didn't make it this year, but the trikes my dad scored made their final debut (they're so messed up). Nick let me roll his radio flyer and man did it fly. I'm getting one of those baby's for next year. Was proud to rawk my "Can you handle sixteen inches?" shirt in context. There were some awesome crashes and bears.
Only one rule: no rubber wheels... makes for awesome lack of traction: check out the 360 at the end of the video.
Jay scored this action shot from his iPhone!:
Six-a-peeps a la Shaderlab:
Next year: squirt guns, faster trike, bike bell, repair kits, bandaids, pre-race bbq,
Update: found another action shot from poolman
Update: recommended video from Jay:
During the winter I like to as all the storms come through, I like to be my own weatherman. I've got my dashboard set up with weather widgets for my various "homes" and Tahoe cities, times for the various Six Apart offices, and the current moon phase. But my favorite part is the Radar in Motion that shows a view of the west coast from above Hawaii.
See that spiraling storm across WA, OR, and CA? That's why I'm up so early. Argh, Well, on the flipside... I guess we'll be getting some awesome powder in the mountains! Won't be getting to the snow these next two weekends due to birthday celebrations ("the big three-oh, eh?", as people keep saying) but definitely the weekend after.
Anyone got any good weather reporting tools, tips, websites that rock? I asked for a barometer for xmas, but Santa didn't come through on that one.
My friend Melissa from Toronto (whom I met in Paris while traveling Europe in 2001) was in town to promote a play she directed (Spotless) and got me to check out a few other plays... I'm hooked.
I've been to see 5 Fringe Festival shows this week and they've all been really good, some had me laughing uncontrollably.
- Party of One - ***** - My favorite so far. Solo act. Performer does a superb job of making you feel many emotions as she too goes through them. Best part: re-enacting Gone with the Wind in 60 seconds.
- Spotless - *** - directed by my friend Melissa. Solo act of a story of three hospital workers and their daily lives.
- Fuck You Cancer - ***** - Brilliant solo act. Join the journey guided by appendix looking for cancer. Each body part you meet has a personality of it's own... super funny.
- The Sewers - **** - Dark, mysterious, funny, deep, introverted. Awesome stage, cast, props, lighting, music.
- Shopping as a Spiritual Path - **** - Solo act. Humorous, yet serious, story of a woman's life dealing with cancer that took most of her jaw.
I'm going back to see more:

This was the first paragraph of a response to our Craigslist post:
Let me be up front about this, so you don't miss it: I am perfect in every way, so perfect that you should actually respond to my email and not the 10,000 other ones you've gotten already. I'm the ideal roommate - I shit gold bricks and my farts smell like roses. Everywhere I go I'm preceded by dozens of fair maidens who sing my name and toss flower petals onto the ground where I will be walking. You want to live with me. No, you NEED to live with me. Not replying to this email could be the biggest mistake you ever make in your life.

What else?
Earlier that night, Erica, Hillary, Greg and I had dressed up and went to a few parties before heading to the Sea of Dreams. I had a wig on and felt like a different person the whole night. I may have to wear wigs more often.
