Every Wednesday we can hack on any project we're inspired to do. I'm working on a design mode for Movable Type.

So tell us more about this Design Mode for MT. :)

It's merely a concept right now... but I'm hoping to create a "design mode" where the Movable Type app interface changes to ease the process of heavy template editing when you don't really care about the rest of the app.

Sounds very cool! I can't to see this develop more.

I want Vox to have more stats about who is reading my blog... I don't want to invade into the privacy of others... but data help in decision making.

How would your decision making for your Vox blog change if you knew who was reading it?

For example if people read more posts on a particular topic, then I might write about that topic more.

Can that not be derived from the extra (or absence of) comments to our posts?

e.g. Nobody commented about my interest in being a dressmaker. That's cool, I'll just post more about that for my sake....

Commenting or TIGing is one way for sure... what about the volume of peeps that don't respond... Vox knows which pages registered users browse... why not share that data?

We all want stats on our Vox blogs. I know that stats are the in the plans for the future, but who knows exactly when that will happen. I would love to see it in 2007, but I'm not holding my breath.

You probably have lots more readers of your blog than what is shown by the number of comments that you receive on your posts. We probably have more traffic coming from people searching for content on search engines. People coming from Google might be reading lots of your content, but don't bother to sign up for Vox in order to leave a comment. Also, I've found that even Vox users feel inhibited to leave comments out of shyness, or the feeling that they don't have something appropriate to say about your post. Anyway, kudos to the desire to become a dressmaker/designer, I think that's fabulous!
